Elissa and Alan met me in downtown Omaha in the Old Market area to photograph their winter engagement session! I love couples who brave the weather - cold, snow, thunderstorms (I've done them all!!) - to create unique engagement images. We started the session at The Hot Shops - a funky artists' coop in the now-popular area of the new home of the College World Series. Then we traveled to Gene Leahy Mall then to the bustling streets of the Old Market during a Charles Dickens Christmas celebration! Elissa and Alan are a lovely and adventuresome couple! With Elissa's infectious smile and Alan's Carhart hat, I couldn't help but capture everything they did!! We used the snow and the crisp blue sky to create images that can only happen in winter! These will be a lovely contrast to their June 2012 wedding!! Please enjoy!

Randy & Gail were married in Nebraska City at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The day was rainy but the mood was bright inside one of my very favorite churches at Christmastime. The church is simply decorated in fir trees with white lights and poinsettas - stunning. The couple were married at noon on Saturday and then moved their celebration to the fellowship hall in the church. They were surrounded by many loving family and friends as they spent their first day as man and wife. Please enjoy some images from their wedding and if you would like to view all the images, please click on the link below -

Breelyn is the daughter of a couple I photographed their wedding a little over a year ago. Jason & Cristi brought their gorgeous little bundle to my studio this past week to photograph their daughter at 3 months. Breelyn is a bright-eyed and happy little baby - very expressive! Please enjoy some images from her session as well as a couple of Breelyn's parent's wedding and maternity images !

Jane and Paul were married in South Omaha at Grace United Methodist Church and celebrated their reception in Council Bluffs. This wedding was special to me as the groom is the son of a good friend that I photograph weddings with! The bride was dressed in a gown specially made for her as the groom's tux harkened back to the days of the Rat Pack. After the evening ceremony where the bride tossed her bouguet to the guests from the church's steps, the guests drove across the Missouri River to the funky hip restaurant / art gallery - Dixie Quicks / RNG Gallery. Before arriving, the bride and groom stopped for a few quick photos at Bayliss Park where they ran through the trees decked in Christmas lights to dance under the gorgeously lit dome in the park. What troopers they were as it was (very) cold! Once arriving at the reception, guests were asked to leave their thumbprint on a unique guest book fashioned after a tree. The cake was made by the bride herself earlier in the day! The atmosphere was relaxed and elegant as guests moved from restaurant to art gallery to witness the couple's first dance. What a wonderful privilege it was to photograph this wedding!!! Please enjoy some images from Jane and Paul's first day of marriage. Recently, I took the afternoon off my day job and spent it photographing (and doing a bit of Christmas shopping!). The afternoon kicked off with a session with two very friendly and imposing horses - Dutch and Bill. These fellows belong to my boss and the photography project is a Christmas present to my boss from all of his managers - it's supposed to be surprise so keep it a secret for a couple of weeks. The second session was with the lovely Kimberly Daniels - the newly crowned 2012 Mrs. Nebraska. She is not only stunning on the outside, she is sweet and generous! The last session was with Kerry Sullivan, newly published children's book author of Lucy, The Puppy Pirate! Not only did I have the pleasure to photograph Kerry and her beloved, Lucy the Boston terrier, but I also photographed her other two pups, Roxy the French Bulldog and the 6-month old puppy, Lola! What a delightful trio of dogs - it took 5 people to corral them! Please enjoy a few images from my afternoon!

Recently, I photographed my cousin's son, Mark. He is graduating this spring, but it seemed not that long ago that he was born! Mark loves his farming background and knows the importance of family. Some of the session was held at his uncle's place as well as his grandparents' farm. Mark was photographed with his grandfather's bulldozer while wearing his late grandfather's shirt. Even his sister Julia joined in the session for a few photos! Not only is Mark active in the local chapter of the FFA, he is a fine singer and is part of the high school's group called Expressions. I always feel so honored when family asks that I photograph a wedding, a new baby (Mark is an uncle to triplets that were born in October!), or a high school senior. My hope is that I am able to give them images that have special meaning - as I hope I have done for my cousin! Please enjoy a few images from Mark's Senior Photo Shoot!
