Kelly & Michael were married in front of Omaha's historic Joslyn Castle. This wedding was an all-day affair for me & I loved every minute of it! It started at Sirens salon in the Old Market and then moved to getting ready at the Castle. While the ladies enjoyed a dixie cup champagne toast, the fellows were playing a few hands of pre-wedding poker! The joy & excitement of the bride & groom spilled over into the wedding party and guests. The celebration moved to the Scoular Ballroom after a delightful cocktail hour! At the reception, the guests were serenaded by Vintage Vocalist, Michael Walker - who was AMAZING! Kalen & Marci were married on August 7 at St John's Lutheran Church in the gorgeous rolling hills of Westoboro Missouri. They moved their celebration up the road to the Blue Moon Bar & Grill in Hamburg Iowa. This wedding was very special to me as Marci & I are friends - we used to teach Sunday School together & are sisters in Christ!! Marci was glowing with joy as she wed her love, the hansdome Kalen :)!!! What a perfectly matched couple who have blended their familes beautifully. What an honor to be able to photograph a wedding but it is a bigger honor to photograph the wedding of a friend. Thank you Marci & Kalen! Mary & Andy were married at North American Martyrs Catholic Church in Lincoln NE on July 31 surrounded by family & friends. They took their reception to the Holiday Inn in downtown Lincoln, but not before stopping in Davey NE at the local tavern! Mary & Andy are a warm and loving (oh, I forgot, VERY FUNNY!) couple - they were showcased in their very own wedding video - hilarious & touching, to say the least. Tasha & Jared were married in Sully IA surrounded by family & friends then moved their celebration a few miles east to Lynnville IA to the Linden House Bed & Breakfast near Wagaman Mill on the Skunk River. This wedding was special to me as this was the wedding of a family member (Jared). I had photographed his sister's wedding a few years ago (they grace the ENTER SITE portion of my home page - one of my favorite wedding images ever!) and was honored to be asked to photograph another wedding in our family!!! Family or not, this wedding was AWESOME!! The details at this wedding / reception were incredible - parasols, paper lanterns, handmade fans adorned with engagement images from your truly :), guest book signs, a candy table where you could help yourself to lots of pink &orange candies, cupcakes, the best cream cheese mints, sparklers, and so many more - it was a pleasure to photograph! At the center of the day was the couple who have Christ at the center of their marriage and share a deep love for one another. Craig & Rachel were married at the Lied Lodge Conference Center in Nebraska City, NE on the Hazelnut Lawn and then celebrated their reception inside the West Assembly. The day started with the bride & her maids at the salon, Curl Up & Dye. Before their ceremony, the couple and their wedding party met at Arbor Lodge State Park which made for some memorable portraits! The rain threatened the festivities, but thankfully was kept at bay for the day & night!
