Santana & Chad were married in the courtyard at Arbor Hall in Omaha surrounded by their family and friends then moved their reception inside. Who would have guessed on Sept 16, we would all be bundled up for an outdoor wedding! Crazy Nebraska weather. Santana was stylish in her gorgeous bridal gown (this could possibly be the most beautiful gown I have seen in years) then after her first dance with her husband Chad, she changed into her reception dress! I love a bride who creates two different looks for her special day. All the guests were delightful especially the children - my favorite at any wedding and these young wedding guests were no exception. The groom had his own cake fashioned after an xbox game controller - not only looked good but tasted delicious! Alyssa and Kyle were married at the First Presbyterian Church and celebrated their reception at The Eagles Club both in Nebraska City. Home!! I love, love, love Nebraska City weddings. I never feel like I'm working when I photograph there. Alyssa and Kyle are a perfectly matched couple in many ways but the most obvious was their geniuneness and love for their family and friends. They were so easy to photograph and create lovely images. Orange is becoming my favorite wedding color - vibrant and cheerful! Alyssa wore what I think is the most practical of all bridal footwear - tennis shoes!!! A highlight of the day came when photographing the couple with their ring bearer and flowergirl and I asked the couple to kiss. The couple obliged and kissed. Then in a perfect moment, Gunner the ring bearer slowly leaned into the flowergirl, Ferris who instinctively leaned into Gunner for my favorite image of the day (sorry Alyssa & Kyle!!). Please enjoy some images from their wedding day.
